Mr. Feuer is recognized as a lawyer with more than 30 years of experience representing children in Family Court. His areas of practice have also included social security disability, workers compensation, estates, real property, and landlord tenant law. A bright and talkative child, he decided early in his life that he wanted to pursue a career in the law. He graduated from Yorktown High School in 1977 with a NYS Regents diploma and was a member of the National Honor Society. He was on the varsity soccer team and co-captain of the varsity bowling team. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1981, interned one semester with the New York State Assembly, and was a member of the National Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha. He is a graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law, San Francisco, CA. Mr. Feuer was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 1985, as well as the United States District Court, Northern District of New York.
From 1983 to 1984, Mr. Feuer worked as a legal assistant at the firm of Bushnell, Caplan, Fielding, & Rudy in San Francisco, CA. He subsequently served as a legal assistant in the Law Offices of Philip J. Devine in Oneonta, New York from 1984 to 1985, at which point he became an associate with the Law Office of Stephen P. Joyce in Sherburne, NY. Mr. Feuer established his private legal practice in Oneonta, New York in 1987, which he successfully operates to this day.
He is currently a member of the Board of Temple Beth El of Oneonta, and has served as vice president and president. For the past 30 years he has been the president of Temple Beth El's Men's Club, and is often found in the kitchen making or helping to make breakfast for its members. Mr. Feuer is the chairman of Temple Beth El Cemetery committee. He is a member and former president of the Otsego County Bar Association, and a member of the New York State Bar Association. He is also a member and former board member of the Oneonta Rotary Club. Mr. Feuer enjoys spending time with his family and his hobbies include golf and archery. He was a Scout Master of his son's Boy Scout troop, a coach of his son's little league baseball teams and youth soccer teams. He is very proud to be one of the people instrumental in organizing and participating in the fund raising and construction of an elementary school playground in his home town of Otego, NY.
