WYLIE, TX, July 29, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sheena Haberstroh has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Originally, Ms. Haberstroh intended to pursue a career in medicine. However, she had to work her way through higher education. While working with Citigroup, she fell in love with business, which altered her career trajectory. As an MIS specialist, Ms. Haberstroh has gained valuable expertise in project management, business monitoring and scheduling by preparing documentation, analyzing practices and providing strategy for the department to ensure they pass audits, validating cost codes for employees and preparing a variety of presentations for others at the bank. In recognition of her outstanding work, she received the 2 Quality Excellence Awards and a Community Award for her volunteerism efforts with Hearts & Hammers, which assists local, low income homeowners in preserving the exterior of their homes, and March of Dimes.
Backed by her considerable expertise, Ms. Haberstroh currently excels as a level four business analyst with Fannie Mae. Since 2010, she has designed and managed SharePoint sites, page layouts and workable lists for daily use within the teams that she manages. Likewise, she has maintained and assisted in the development of databases for reporting automation, and collaborated with several technical teams for production support. In her exemplary work with Fannie Mae, Ms. Haberstroh has been honored with the We Can Be Counted On Award, as well as a Diversity and Inclusion Award. She has been a member of the Women in Technology Employee Resource Group within Fannie Mae for the last 3 years. She attends Women In Technology conferences, having brought it back to the company by writing a blog as well being a panel participant in a panel discussion. During her employment at Fannie Mae she has volunteered with various nonprofit organizations including North Texas Food Bank, Hope Supply Co. and Grace Bridge.
An expert in her field, Ms. Haberstroh earned a Bachelor of Arts in business, education and speech pathology from the University of North Texas in 2005. Devoted to her community, she has assisted Adopt-A-Block (The Lakes Church in Sachse, Texas in which she is a member) with administrative work for the food pantry, meal delivery during Covid-19, and registration.
While her husband was in rehab last year after breaking his femur (and also a Stage IV cancer patient) they organized a donation for the elderly for her husband's 40th birthday party in February of this year of items the residents truly needed to be able to buy in their bingo store. Mr. and Mrs. Haberstroh found their passion for the elderly during this time.
Mrs. Haberstroh's drive to excel in her career came when her husband was first diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2007; he had a slim chance of survival then as it was a massive brain tumor. At that point she knew she would have to be able to take care of both of them. He (Robert Paul Haberstroh) had an almost 13-year battle with cancer. He passed away March 24th of this year. He was her strongest supporter and believed in her. They have 3 beautiful children (Jacob Mathew Haberstroh (10), Jackson Reece Haberstroh (5), and Julianna Marie Haberstroh (4). Mrs. Haberstroh learned work-life balance when he was first diagnosed and her family and children always came first.
He fought as hard as he could with doctors continuously saying it is not possible, however he pushed through 13 years and through his strength and God she found her strength to keep going. By day she worked full time; at home she was a mother, a caregiver to her husband and a researcher of new treatments that were available or that they could try.
She is a believer of continuous education and took courses and training where time permitted. Her hardest project was to figure out a way to give him the funeral service he deserved during Covid-19; the family livestreamed the service to share their story which has reached 1,164 views.
