The former coordinator of planning, program development and human resource development for Organization Support from 1986 to 1995, he previously contributed to the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Connecticut from 1967 to 1986. Dr. Voroscak began his career as a mathematics teacher at Masuk High School in Monroe, CT from 1960 to 1966, where he eventually advanced to the post of a department chairman from 1966 to 1967.
In order to prepare for his professional path, Dr. Voroscak pursued an education at the University of Connecticut, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1960. He continued his academic efforts with a Master of Science at the University of Bridgeport in 1962. Earning a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from New York University in 1974, he later obtained a Doctor of Education from the University of Bridgeport in 1988. Additionally, Dr. Voroscak holds certifications in national rehabilitation counseling, and rehabilitation counseling, intermediate administration and supervision, and teaching in the state of Connecticut.
As a further testament to his success and longevity in his chosen field, Dr. Voroscak was presented with the Meritorious Service Award from the Northeast Rehabilitation Association in 1985, the Distinguished Service Award from the Easter Seal Society of Connecticut in 1978, the Distinguished Service Award from the Connecticut Association of Rehabilitation Facilities in 1986, and the President's Award from the Connecticut State Employees Association in 1988. Honored as the Man of the Year by the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford, CT in 1978, he has additionally been featured in honors publications, including the sixth edition of Who's Who in American Education, the first edition of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and both the twenty-first and twenty-second editions of Who's Who in the East. Retired since 2001, Dr. Voroscak enjoys participating in such activities as golfing, swimming, bowling, and traveling with friends and family in his free time.
