Mr. Vance is an esteemed attorney celebrating more than 20 years of excellence in real property and business law. He initially earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting at the University of Utah in 1989 before continuing his education with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 1993. Mr. Vance subsequently returned to the University of Utah, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the S.J. Quinney School of Law in 1996.
Drawing upon his existing expertise in business management and financial services, Mr. Vance immediately gravitated toward legal work in the real estate development industry. He began his career as an associate of Suitter Axland in 1995, and was later appointed as a senior associate with Meuleman & Miller LLP in 1998. Mr. Vance continued to refine his practice as senior counsel for Hawkins Companies, with which he would practice from 2004 until 2010.
Since 2010, Mr. Vance has excelled as general counsel for Rocky Mountain Management & Development LLC, with which he leads all risk-management assessments and legal advisory responsibilities for the group's property management and development divisions. In addition to his legal advisory work, he was also active as a former business law instructor for the University of Phoenix from 2010 until 2016. As an authority on the complex intersections of law, business development, and community building, Mr. Vance has flourished in numerous professional organizations throughout his career, including terms as the chairman of the board for the Real Property Section of the Idaho State Bar, which presented him with a 2012 Award for Outstanding Service.
Mr. Vance has further served as the president of the Meridian Chamber of Commerce, for which he was lauded as a Friend of Meridian Business. While he takes great pride in his professional accomplishments, his wife and children remain the center of his life, and he coached youth soccer, basketball, and lacrosse teams in their support for many years. In the coming years, Mr. Vance plans to remain affiliated with Rocky Mountain Management & Development, and hopes to effect positive changes for the communities and companies that he serves.
