WEST PALM BEACH, FL, August 19, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to honor Tim Tarver, DM, with inclusion in Who's Who in the World. An accomplished listee, Dr. Tarver celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dr. Tarver is an esteemed mathematician and educator with research interests in the fields of partial differential equations, wave theory, and complex analysis. He initially graduated from Bethune-Cookman University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics, minoring in computer engineering. He quickly developed a reputation for academic excellence and intellectual curiosity, holding administrative positions in the school's chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success and Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society. Dr. Tarver would subsequently obtain a Master of Information Systems degree from the University of Phoenix in 2015 as well as a Doctor of Management in organizational leadership in 2020.
In 2013, Dr. Tarver returned to his alma mater as an adjunct professor of mathematics, dedicating the fall semester to teaching in the undergraduate mathematics laboratory before transitioning to tutoring and support roles. Passionate about educational equity and student success, particularly in STEM fields, he subsequently excelled as a tutor and retention management assistant, supervising a team of student mathematics tutors and directly working with students to provide coaching on instructional strategies, study skills, and mathematical concepts. In addition to his work with postsecondary students, Dr. Tarver worked as a mentor and instructor for Bethune-Cookman University's Black Males College Explorers program, a community-based leadership and academic support curriculum designed to provide Black middle and high school students with additional standards-based content-area instructional support.
Dr. Tarver would remain active with this program until 2016, at which point he departed Bethune-Cookman University to focus on independent research and doctoral coursework. Currently, she participates on the editorial review boards of several professional publications, including OMICS International USA, Advances in Theoretical & Computational Physics and the International Journal of Advanced Mathematics Education. His research has been extensively published, and he has been notably invited to present his work at conferences sponsored by Vanderbilt University and educational organizations across Florida. He attributes his success to his attitude of scientific inquiry and determination to assume nothing, and to the strength that he has gained through overcoming great personal and emotional challenges early in life. In his leisure time, Dr. Tarver is a talented trumpet player and poet, and enjoys creative expression in all its forms.
