In addition to his nearly 40 years of litigation experience, Mr. Foley has served as a mediator and arbitrator for the past 26 years.
Throughout his career, Mr. Foley has made an impact in a number of notable cases, including Skelly v. Skelly, 286 Mich App 578 (Mich Ct App 2009). Before establishing his own practice, he gained valuable legal expertise with Prather, Harrington & Foley. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Foley is affiliated with the Oakland Bar Association, the Wayne County Bar Association and the Shamrock Bar Association.
During the late 1970s, Mr. Foley earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and political science from Oakland University. Three years later, he graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Detroit College of Law. Mr. Foley was subsequently admitted to practice law through the State Bar of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Outside of his commitments to the aforementioned firm, Mr. Foley contributes to those in need as a Catholic premarriage counselor with Living in Love as well as in a pro-bono capacity to local religious leaders, including priests and imams. In previous years, he was recruited to the Alumni Board of his Alma Mater, Detroit Catholic Central High School, and served as Alumni Board President for three years. Mr. Foley is additionally active as a volunteer mediator with the Wayne County Circuit Family Court mediation pilot project at the invitation of the Honorable William Callahan. He has also been a mediator for the Michigan Court of Appeals.
As a testament to his professional excellence, Mr. Foley has been honored with an AV-Rating through Martindale-Hubbell since 2000 and among America's Most Honored Professionals since 2018.
