An esteemed attorney and partner of Wolff Associates since 1981, Ms. Wolff has garnered a laudable reputation for her inimitable expertise in estate planning and estate administration and tax law. Her experience spans more than 40 years, beginning as a law clerk for Stassen, Kostos and Mason between 1977 and 1978 and subsequently as an associate for Spencer, Sherr, Moses and Zuckerman from 1980 until 1981. Initially active in education for more than a decade, Ms. Wolff worked at Overbrook High School for 7 years where she initiated community involvement with the school and subsequently worked as a homebound teacher for Lower Merior Township in Montgomery Township, Pennsylvania. She was also active as the assistant dean at her alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, until 1976. A tireless educator, Ms. Wolff has continued to lecture in law and estate planning since 1980. She served as Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Ms. Wolff has been involved with various local initiatives throughout her career. Among her efforts, she was active on the Crime Prevention Association as a member of the executive committee, as a secretary and treasurer of the board between 1965 and 1997. She was also aligned with the University of Pennsylvania as the vice president and a member of the board of directors for the organized classes board from 1975 to 2000. Additionally, Ms. Wolff founded the Take a Brother Program (which received national awards and a member of the Program won the Boys Club of America Boy of the Year, chaired the Boys Club of America urban conference and was the president of the Lions Club of Chestnut Hill in Germantown and Mount Airy, Pennsylvania.
An alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, Ms. Wolff received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in 1962 and 1966, respectively. She also completed postgraduate coursework at Sophia University in Tokyo in 1965. Returning to college, Ms. Wolff attained both a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1979 and a Master of Laws in taxation in 1987 at Villanova University. Since concluding her academic efforts, she has been admitted to practice law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Ms. Wolff's passion for the law includes giving 20% of her practice pro bono in an effort to help those who work but cannot afford an attorney yet are not qualified to have an attorney given to them because they do work. Outside of her professional circles, Ms. Wolff is a member of several avocational organizations, including the Hamilton Bridge Club, the Har Zion Book Club and the Cosmopolitan Club. She is, notably, a certified bridge teacher, and has achieved the status of a gold life master in the game.
In 1984, Ms. Wolff was bestowed with the Third Annual Community Service Award from the Philadelphia Mayor's Committee for Women and was named as a Pennsylvania Heroine of the Month by Ladies Home Journal. Moreover, she was recognized with a Special Award of Honor for Longstanding Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania Association of Alumni in 2018. She has been a member of the Board of the Association of Alumnae since 1962 and now serves as a member of the advisory board.
