Over the years, he also became certified as a mediator by the Bar Association of San Francisco and a specialist in taxation law by the California Board of Legal Specialization. Apart from his affiliations with various bar associations, he remains aligned with American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Through the Bar Association of San Francisco's Justice & Diversity Center, Mr. Kinyon has been offering pro-bono estate planning services to frontline workers during the COVID-19 crisis, providing life planning for lifesavers.
With a wide breadth of knowledge at his disposal, Mr. Kinyon has contributed to lectures and articles, including "Overview of Estate Planning Practice" and the law review article "California Income Taxation of Trusts and Estates" for such publications as "CEB Estate Planning & California Probate Reporter," "ACTEC Law Journal" and "California Trusts and Estates Quarterly."
