As the chairperson of the bankruptcy and restructuring practice group, he specializes in the areas of bankruptcy, reorganization and insolvency and has represented debtors and other stakeholders in out of court arrangements, restructurings, state court receiverships and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Bruck appears on behalf of his clients on a weekly basis before the Bankruptcy Courts in New Jersey in an effort to protect their interests. In the mid-1960s, Mr. Bruck pursued a formal education at Tufts University, where he attained a Bachelor of Arts in English. Following this accomplishment, he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Rutgers University School of Law in 1968. To remain aware of developments in the field, Mr. Bruck maintains his professional alignment with the bankruptcy section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey Bankruptcy Inn of Court, the New Jersey chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, the Essex County Bar Association and the Association of the Federal Bar for the State of New Jersey, where he formerly served as the president.
Supported by a considerable wealth of knowledge, Mr. Bruck has contributed to numerous articles, including "The Impact of the Bankruptcy Code on the Claims of Contractors and Subcontractors in New Jersey" and "Potential Bankruptcy Strategies for Stakeholders in Real Estate Transactions; Relevant Provisions of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code" and presentations such as "Environmentally Contaminated Property Issues When Owners Face Insolvency." In light of his outstanding work, he has been acknowledged as an AV-Preeminent Attorney through Martindale-Hubbell since 1979, listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2007, and has been recognized as a New Jersey Super Lawyer in bankruptcy, business, business litigation, real estate and creditor debtor rights since 2012.
