Dr. Pisani hopes to continue her work in education and psychotherapy through social media platforms to discuss important issues people struggle with on a daily basis.
MEBANE, NC, September 03, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lori-ellen Pisani has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After growing up in a dysfunctional household, Dr. Pisani found refuge at school, where she was mentored by many of her teachers. She was subsequently inspired by her teachers to follow the same path and ensure that no child would feel inferior. Dr. Pisani eventually decided to become a teacher in order to serve the community that helped her thrive.
In the years that followed, Dr. Pisani obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in elementary education from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a Master's Degree in counseling and human development from Long Island University, a Doctorate in modern psychoanalysis and psychotherapy from International University for Graduate Studies and a Specialist Diploma in school administration and supervision from Queens College. In her career, she had found success for more than 33 years as a teacher in the early elementary grades. She also served as Assistant Principal during this time. Dr. Pisani currently excels as the President and Founder of Simply Speaking LEP, LLC.
With her present business venture, Dr. Pisani hopes to continue her work in education and psychotherapy through social media platforms to discuss important issues people struggle with on a daily basis. She addresses topics such as mental health, abandonment, depression, anxiety and dysfunctional family relationships. Likewise, she offers webinars based on her book, "The Journey Home." In addition, she offers motivational psychotherapy for individual clients. As a respected voice in her fields, Dr. Pisani has also conducted radio and television interviews addressing mental illness and healthy coping mechanisms.
Throughout her career, Dr. Pisani has been incredibly proud of one special needs student whose IQ had raised by 22 points after being integrated into her general education class. She always teaches her students to embrace one another and remain curious. She believes that special needs students do not need to be segregated, and need to be included in general education classrooms in order to thrive in educational settings. Civically, she has participated in mission trips to Nicaragua to build an orphanage with her local church. Dr. Pisani has also established a school in rural Nigeria and has been sponsoring a child in Kenya from the age of five, who will now be going to college through the Child Fund.
For her accomplishments as an educator and school administrator, Dr. Pisani's school district named a street, Dr. Pisani Way, in her honor. She also accepted the We Are One Award for bridging the gap between special needs education and general education. Looking toward the future, Dr. Pisani hopes to create more of a global presence by helping others grow and find peace in the world in which we live.
