Dr. Davies began his career as a senior scientist at Westinghouse Electric in Pittsburgh, PA, from 1967 to 1977.
Before embarking upon his professional path, Dr. Davies pursued an education at the University College of London, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in 1964 and a Doctor of Philosophy in 1967. Following these achievements, he earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1974. Well-regarded as a leader in his field, Dr. Davies holds more than 20 patents in his field on optical and magnetic data storage.
Dr. Davies was previously associated with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Society of Optical Engineering (SPIE), the Pine Brook Hills Homeowners Association, and the Boulder Valley United States Power Squadron. Notably, he served as the editor of "Storage & Retrieval Systems" in 1990 and a contributing author for numerous articles published in professional journals. The recipient of the Consumer Product of the Year Award from Consumer Electronics Society in 2001, Dr. Davies was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the World.
