WELLINGTON, CO, September 16, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Betty L. Aragon-Mitotes has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dedicating her career to serving as a voice for the voiceless, Ms. Aragon-Mitotes has garnered a laudable reputation as a Founder of Mujeres de Colores non-profit and Co-Founder of Museo de las Tres Colonias. Through these organizations, she is able to help families and children of low income and fixed incomes, providing children with backpacks and school supplies during the school years, as well as gifts during Posadas, the Christmas season. They have also collaborated with the SAVA center which gave a presentation on sexual assault.
Coming of age in a disadvantaged area of Fort Collins, Ms. Aragon-Mitotes grew up in a landscape suffused by Hispanic culture. Inspired by several of her mentors, who taught her the history of her heritage, she realized that many people within her community were disenfranchised, and were unable to find a place in society. Resolved to correct this injustice, Ms. Aragon-Mitotes swore to empower those who felt they had no voice. For her continued dedication and advocacy work, Ms. Aragon-Mitotes received the SOL award from the Latino Foundation and is part of the Mujeres Valientes program of the Latino Foundation, she has also been recognized by the Colorado Women of Influence and the Zonta Organization. Throughout her career, she has attributed her success to her dedication to service, notably working hard to ensure that the Hispanic community takes control of their own lives. She maintains a professional affiliation with the Latino Foundation of Denver, Colorado Women of Influence of Loveland, and the Zonta organization of Fort Collins. Ms. Aragon-Mitotes plans to continue her work and is also producing a second documentary as well as developing a monument to honor the Hispanic Beet Workers of Fort Collins. She is also currently working with the Latino Council of Denver for the Biden campaign.
