Drawing a wealth of inspiration from his father, who was an electrical engineer, Mr. Langston earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Hardin-Simmons University and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Washington University in Saint Louis. He began his career as an in-charge auditor for Emerson Electric. In his career, he later held such positions as the director of financial planning & analysis, director of finance, director of business development, director of business integration, human resources director and vice president of human resources and risk management. Presently, Mr. Langston works as the principal at Southern Wealth Management in charge of human resources and assistant CFO.
Throughout the course of his vocational journey, Mr. Langston has developed indelible expertise in financial analysis. Likewise, he garnered experience in budgeting and forecasting, business development, strategy planning and all aspects of human resources. As a leader, Mr. Langston has exhibited excellent communication and decision-making skills, and he has led and motivated team members to achieve their desired business goals.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Langston has excelled as a past mentor for the Big Brother Big Sister Foundation. In addition, as a student-athlete at Hardin-Simmons University, he was named as the Most Valuable Player his junior and senior year, and was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in 2008. Mr. Langston was also a Street and Smith magazine preseason Honorable Mention All-American, and received the TAAC Top Scholar Athlete Award for basketball in 1987 and 1988.
