ENGLEWOOD, TN, September 22, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. T. James Tofflemire has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After being diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy in 2002, Dr. Tofflemire was left debilitated and unable to play tennis. However, he remained faithful throughout his illness and was surrounded by people who supported and prayed for him. In 2003 after intense prayer, he made a full recovery from the disease and decided to dedicate his time to teaching the faith. Dr. Tofflemire subsequently enrolled at the Orlando Institute, from which he obtained a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry. Soon thereafter, Dr. Tofflemire began writing books about the religious discipline of apologetics. He currently excels as a manager and apologetics author for http://creationapologetics.net/, with which he utilizes science and religion to teach others about his faith. His book on apologetics is titled: Evidences for God and His Creations available from Author House. In the coming years, he plans to provide presentations in the field. Likewise, Dr. Tofflemire would also like to create videos to better reach younger audiences.
Previously in his career, starting in 1967, Dr. Tofflemire published 50 scientific papers and reports with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as an environmental research scientist in pollution control. He performed research on wastewater treatment, pollution control, and PCB monitoring and cleanup of the Hudson River. When in the Duval County Health Dept in Fl. he was tasked with the supervision of drinking water, swimming pool review and inspection programs.
Moreover, Dr. Tofflemire earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from South Dakota State University, as well as a Doctor of Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was also registered as a professional engineer in New York and Florida as well as Certified Safety Professional. For his public speaking efforts in Toastmasters International, Dr. Tofflemire was recognized as a Distinguished Toastmaster. He also has been a CASA representative (court appointed special advocate), to help troubled children for over 10 years. He also taught children in Campus Crusade (now CRU) Here's Life Inter City Program for 5 years.
Dr. Tofflermire has had membership and participation with the Water Pollution Control Association, the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, the American Society of Safety Engineers and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
