In this capacity, she has helped those suffering from debilitating emotional issues, including post-traumatic stress disorder, narcissism and suicidal tendencies, with classes, seminars, podcasts, books, videos and interpersonal mentoring. Additionally, she has aided those in need regarding different aspects of daily life that are often ignored in traditional education, including finances, politics, health, technological advances and teaching. Garnering valuable expertise in earth medicine from seven grandmothers of the Seneca Nation, Dr. Gangi built Earthwalk-USA on the holistic tenets of the Native American culture, to which she attempts to give back through presentations and advocacy.
Dr. Gangi has found much success with her written works, authoring such lauded books as "Humanity: An American Memoir," "Forget the Cures, Find the Cause: The 7 Keys to Health," "Souls of the Fire," and her first book, "Mary Jemison, The True Story," among many others. Through Earthwalk-USA, she has additionally penned "Children and Tragedy" in 2013, "Christmas Shorts: True Stories for Young and Old" in 2014, "The Facebook Chronicles" in 2016 and "Q, The Awakening," in 2017. A contributing author for a plethora articles published in professional journals, Dr. Gangi was noted as the editor of "Women in Work Force, 1920-1985," the screenwriter for "Buckle Down," "Mary Jemison," and 'Hap." a prolific holistic health and political podcast and a keynote speaker/instructor at the Seneca Institute of Earth Medicine.
In addition to her exemplary tenure with Earthwalk-USA, Dr. Gangi made an impact in the financial sector prior to her semi-retirement from the field. Most recently, she had worked as the regional vice president for the Freedom Equity Group, Pinnacle Tax and Financial and ExecuTax. She previously operated as the president for RMG Financial Services in Buffalo, New York in 1989. From 1986 until 1989, Dr. Gangi provided her wealth of knowledge as a financial planner with IDS Financial Services and AMEX.
During this time, Dr. Gangi was active as the vice president of data communications for Clarity Research Inc. Prior to these appointments, she served as a site engineer for Timeplex Inc. from 1984 to 1985. She further flourished as a computer specialist at the University at Buffalo, a part of the State University of New York, between 1976 and 1983. Dr. Gangi formally began her career as a computer engineer with the IBM Corporation in Buffalo from 1971 until 1976 noted as the first woman to repair mainframe computers.
Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Gangi completed service in the U.S. Marine Corps, advancing to the rank of a corporal between 1968 and 1971. She subsequently pursued an education at the University at Buffalo, earning a Bachelor of Arts in American studies and communications in 1979. She continued her academic efforts with a certification in earth medicine from the Seneca Institute of Earth Medicine in 1983. Following these accomplishments, Dr. Gangi concluded her studies at the University of Arizona, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in liberal arts.
Beyond her primary responsibilities in the field, Dr. Gangi has participated in numerous endeavors within her professional circles. A resilient defender of women's rights, representation and community action, she had notably contributed as a consultant for ASK-WOMEN and the Women Studies program at SUNY Buffalo, as well as a keynote speaker for numerous forums and lauded classes at Faulkner University in Alabama. Since 2012, Dr. Gangi has held the position of a certified national trainer for Education Empowerment LLC and is a certified trainer with Time To Teach, a classroom management company. She has also worked with runaway children, battered women, Circle House Wellness Center in Buffalo and stem cell research through Lifewave, Inc.
Dr. Gangi has been affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of interest. From 1985 to 1987, she had maintained her involvement with SUNY at Buffalo as a senator in the professional staff senate. She is also associated with the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, Zonta International and the Phi Beta Kappa Society. The former president of the Auburn Block Association and the Main-Jewett Tenants Association, Dr. Gangi was a member of the American Association of University Women, the International Association of Computer Consultants, the International Association of Financial Planning and the National Association of Female Executives.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Dr. Gangi has accrued several accolades throughout her impressive career. In 2012, Earthwalk-USA was acknowledged as the Top Holistic Wellness Center. Moreover, she was recognized as the VIP Woman of the Year by the National Association of Women Professionals in 2015. Likewise, Dr. Gangi was selected for inclusion in the 16th edition of Who's Who of American Women and multiple volumes of Who's Who in Finance and Industry.
A firm believer that love is her religion, the Earth is her church and the truth is her road, Dr. Gangi was inspired by her love for America, as well as the Vietnam War, her time in the U.S. Marine Corps, her financial obligations and the struggles of women and the deaf community. She cites her life-altering work with children and her contributions to humanity as the highlights of her career.
