Having accrued more than 40 years of inimitable expertise in the field of Organization Development, Ms. Jones has garnered a laudable reputation as an adjunct professor in the department of public administration and policy's graduate program at American University Master's in OD Program where she taught various organization development courses. Since 2015 she has taught in their Key Executive Leadership Certificate Programs. Ms. Jones extended career with Maryland National Bank and Maryland National Corporation in Baltimore included years as a training specialist, senior training specialist and, subsequently, as a manager of training and development. After these positions, she became their first organization development consultant.
Since 1990, Ms. Jones has been an independent consultant in Columbia, Maryland providing consulting services specializing in organization development, change leadership, diversity and social change. She is focused on working with individuals, groups and organizations Over the past three decades, Ms. Jones has worked with clients from across the globe, spanning numerous markets.
Outside of her full-time commitments, Ms. Jones is a senior consultant of the NTL Institute, an international nonprofit organization committed to advancing applied behavioral science, where she was notably a past CEO and president. She also continues to provide her expertise by presenting at national and international conferences. Ms. Jones formerly taught courses at the College of Notre Dame, She was a faculty member at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, s responsible for the organization and systems development training program and where she earned .the Distinguished Alumnus Award.
In 2019, Ms. Jones co-edited "Gestalt Practice: Living and Working in Pursuit of wHolism." She previously co-edited the best seller "NTL Handbook for Organizational Development & Change" in 2006, and the second edition published in 2014. Equally involved with her community, she has served on the administrative board of the Epworth United Methodist Chapel in Baltimore where she earned distinction as the chairperson of the committee on church and society. Ms. Jones is a former board member of the Campfire Council of the Chesapeake, excelled on the 'teacher of the year' selection committee for Baltimore City Public Schools, was a regent for the College of Notre Dame Alumni Association and completed The Hopkins Fellows in Organizational and Community Systems in the applied behavioral science program at The Johns Hopkins University.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in business at the College of Notre Dame in 1979, followed by a Master of Science in applied behavioral science at The Johns Hopkins University in 1982. Aligned with several key professional organizations, she was president of the Chesapeake Bay Organization Development Network, is a member and former board president Organization Development Network, where she was bestowed with a Service to the Profession Award and is a Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. She is president and a founding member of The Lewin Center, a nonprofit experiential learning institution, Additionally, she is a member of the International Organization Development Association (IODA) and the Academy of Management.
Ms. Jones' inspiration has always been to balance her personal and professional life. She is married and has a son, daughter, daughter in law and 3 grandsons. Her attention to family is a source of energy and personal satisfaction. She challenges herself to hold a worldview, understand complexity, development of individual, groups and organizations, to grow as a person and learn more about herself.
