Backed by more than 50 years of expertise in staffing, engineering and consulting services and solutions, Mr. Perdikakis excels as president and chief executive officer of Gus Perdikakis Associate Inc. The family-owned and operated company has provided technical, engineering and professional consulting and staffing services for more than four decades. Before establishing his firm, Mr. Perdikakis worked part-time as a janitor for Allstates Design; they sent him on assignment to Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company to check topographic street maps, which led to him being promoted within the company. Subsequently, he gained valuable expertise with Midwest Technical Incorporated, which led to him founding Gus Perdikakis Associates alongside his wife, Jo Ann.
Over the years, Mr. Perdikakis also served two terms as national president of the National Technical Services Association and worked as a radio host for "Gus Perdikakis On-Line" through WING Radio in Dayton, Ohio, between 1995 and 2000. In a career filled with highlights, it is difficult to pick one that stands out. However, he was honored to see Gus Perdikakis Associates recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of America's Fastest Growing Private Companies for four consecutive years.
An expert in his field, Mr. Perdikakis earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati in 1970. Born in Cincinnati to Greek immigrant parents, he was raised with a love of family and a devotion to faith. Outside of his work, he gave back to his community as chair of the National Conference of Christians and Jews, member of the Metropolis of Detroit Diocese Council, founding board member of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and former Committee Co-Chair for the Smale Commission. A lifelong member of the Greek Orthodox Church, he was elected president of the Holy Trinity St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church for six terms. Formerly he sat on the Board of Trustees of the Hellenic College Holy Cross School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts for over 20 years.
In light of his professional accomplishments and his dedication to his church, Mr. Perdikakis has been honored many times, earning the highest lay award of the church titled Archon in 1982, an Executive of the Year Award in 1985 and inclusion in the Largest Executive Search Placement Firms through the Cincinnati Business Courier in 2019 and 2020, respectively, and an Industry Leadership Award through the NTSA. Despite the accolades, he is most proud of his 53-year marriage to wife, Jo Ann. Looking forward, Mr. Perdikakis intends to mentor the leaders of his organization while continuing the development of his succession plan for the future success of Gus Perdikakis Associates.
