CHANGWON, SOUTH KOREA, September 29, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to honor Taewoong Ha with inclusion in Who's Who in the World. An accomplished listee, Master Ha celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Master Ha is a teacher, entrepreneur and martial arts and spiritual development expert with nearly four decades of experience in helping others reconnect with nature, culture and spirituality. A graduate of Daejon High School, one of Korea's top preparatory academies, he was recruited on a full scholarship by Kyung Hee University, where he majored in law. After completing two years of study, Master Ha left the university, disillusioned with studying during a time of rampant injustice and economic inequality under military leadership, and began volunteering as a teacher at the House of Brothers Night School for Laborers. He quickly rose to become the director of the House of Brothers Night School Association, and by 1985 he had become the director of the National Night School Association.
From 1986 until 2000, Master Ha devoted himself to ascetic life and contemplation, living among nature and in a martial arts monastery. Inspired by the inquiry that he had begun in law school, he sought to cultivate a deeper understanding of human nature, existence and his relationship with society, and emerged with the ideals that would later lead him to develop NahlsomNuri Nature World. He became the grand director of the Headquarters of World Orthodox Martial Arts in 1993, and has represented the discipline in numerous sporting events, performances and cultural expositions worldwide for nearly three decades. As a proponent of an integrated approach to philosophy, nature and cultivating an authentic sense of self, Master Ha holds leadership positions in numerous cultural and spiritual organizations. Since 1994, he has served as the president of the Academy on Philosophy in the Korean Language, and he currently promotes traditional Korean martial arts and spiritual martial arts practice as the president of the Korea Martial Arts Study Society and World Orthodox Martial Arts and secretary general of the Korean Culture and Arts Forum.
In 2009, Master Ha established the Nahlsom Martial Arts Association in order to promote the philosophy and practice of Orthodox Martial Arts developed over decades of study. As a part of this mission, he operated the Nahlsom Martial Arts Academy from 2011 until 2014, departing to embark on a four-year spiritual pilgrimage and nature study in the Jiri Mountain Range. Master Ha currently operates the MARUAL Spiritual Martial Arts School, the Jirisan National Park Martial Arts Academy and his most recent venture, the NahlsomNuri Nature World and CheonGyoungWon Farming Association Corporation.
Representing the culmination of his decades of study and development, NahlsomNuri Nature World is a school and retreat offering instruction in fermenting techniques, spiritual martial arts, meditation and philosophy, as well as a range of wilderness camps and retreats. Master Ha hopes to help participants reach the same self-actualization and interior knowledge that he gained from his years of study and seclusion, and considers his work with the camp to be a fulfillment of his purpose in life. He credits his success to the support of his wife and to the influence of his parents, particularly his father, who established the source of spiritual martial arts and philosophical foundation to which he has devoted his life. Master Ha considers Korean identity and tradition to be the key to his philosophy of life and teaching, and seeks to guide participants in his workshops toward a deeper understanding of their relationship with their cultural heritage and a stronger ability to set boundaries with the more toxic demands of modernity. In the coming years, he looks forward to traveling the world teaching and establishing other NahlsomNuri camps, as well as continuing his legacy of artistic and cultural exchange and service to others.
