ATLANTA, GA, September 30, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Michael H Robinson has been included in Marquis Who's Who. While in his second year of college, Dr. Robinson decided that he wanted to work with young adults in some capacity. Due to the impact he was able to have on children, he decided to pursue a career in educational leadership. A seasoned leader with a demonstrated history of success in school turnaround and continuous improvement, Dr. Robinson accepted a position with the District of Columbia Public Schools as a special education teacher and basketball coach in 1992.
Between 1993 and 1999, Dr. Robinson found success with Fulton County Schools in similar positions. Before the turn of the century, Fulton County Schools promoted him to the post of a curriculum assistant principal and a high school principal. Between 2012 and 2014, Dr. Robinson gained valuable expertise in the field as the regional vice president of school turnaround for Mosaica Education.
Dr. Robinson currently channels 28 years of expertise into his role as a high school principal for Clayton County Public Schools. Even though his career has been filled with standout moments, he is especially proud of obtaining a National Blue-Ribbon School for Exemplary High Performance. Additionally, he accepted a Gold Award for High Performance on the State Assessment from the Governor's Office of Student Achievement, a Distinguished Title One School recognition from the state of Georgia and an Outstanding Leadership in Community Service Award from the Georgia House of Representatives in 2009. Dr. Robinson contributes to his community as a member of the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce and a principal coach with the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals.
In pursuit of his aspirations, Dr. Robinson graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in special education administration from the University of the District of Columbia in 1993. Subsequently, he earned an Educational Specialist degree in educational leadership and administration from Jacksonville State University in 1997 and a Doctor of Education in education leadership from Argosy University in 2008. Looking toward the future, Dr. Robinson intends to enter a well-deserved retirement.
