Mr. Bakhchinyan is the owner and president of DVT Diagnostic Services, a mobile ultrasound clinic providing diagnostic imaging services to clients throughout California and Nevada. Prior to beginning his medical career, he attended the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, where he completed a Master of Science in music performance in 2000. After relocating to the United States, Mr. Bakhchinyan enrolled in the California University of Science and Medicine, earning a Bachelor of Science in diagnostic medical sonography in 2002 before pursuing additional training in radiology at Oregon University of Technology.
In 2005, Mr. Bakhchinyan became registered as a vascular technologist and diagnostic sonographer. His extensive training and experience in the industry helped him recognize the lack of options for patients and clinics to obtain high-quality diagnostic images without access to a hospital network, prohibitively expensive equipment and specialized certifications. In 2006, Mr. Bakhchinyan opened DVT Diagnostic Services Inc. to help address the gaps in care that he observed.
DVT Diagnostic Services has grown to employ a staff of 40, and has contracts with private practices, assisted living and home health providers, correctional facilities, and medical centers throughout Southern California. Mr. Bakhchinyan remains responsible for overseeing daily operations, personnel management and performing more complex imaging procedures for patients. He is a member of the Society for Diagnostic Medicine and the Registry for Diagnostic Medical Stenography, and is proud to be able to provide a service that helps both patients and clinicians. In the coming years, Mr. Bakhchinyan hopes to expand his service area, hire more technicians and move into a supervisory role with DVT Diagnostic Services.
