While embarking upon his path as an evangelist, Mr. Hubb pursued a formal education at Bowie State University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology, cum laude, in 2012. Graduating with a Master of Arts in pastoral counseling from Liberty University in 2018with a 4.0 GPA, he has found success as a dedicated pastor with the Youth For Tomorrow organization at the New Life Center Inc. in Bristow, VA. Prior to him serving as the pastor for the 250+ acre campus, he served as the director of Therapeutic Day Treatment and lead therapeutic day treatment specialist, demonstrating a high level of professional skill under all circumstances while working with hurting and vulnerable children.
Mr. Hubb was initially inspired to pursue the study of psychology following his experiences coming of age in Washington, D.C., which was plagued with crime and poverty throughout his youth. Finding hope in faith in Jesus Christ, he eventually began to spread the tenants of Christianity to his family at the age of 15. Fascinated with the workings of the human mind, Mr. Hubb has aspired to delve deeper and ascertain ways of helping his loved ones and fellow man, heal from the pains and trauma of this world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mr. Hubb commenced his journey in faith as an assistant youth pastor at the House of Praise Ministries in 2006. Affiliating in his initial role for three years, he proceeded to serve at the Temple of Praise and was ordained in 2013. Mr. Hubb subsequently received ordination from another nationally recognized fellowship, the Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies in 2014.
In addition to his work with Youth for Tomorrow, Mr. Hubb has likewise found success serving as an associate pastor to the Temple of Praise International Fellowship of Churches since 2016, focusing on discipleship and ecclesiastical affairs. For the past 10 years he has also excelled as an evangelist and itinerant minister for LA Hubb Ministries. Through this ministry, he has served and preached the word of God at hundreds of churches nationally and abroad, making appearances on television and radio, while keeping community service in the forefront; through mentorship, youth advocacy, and service to the homeless and disenfranchised.
Looking towards the future, Mr. Hubb wishes to continue preaching the gospel and positively influence the lives of others. He hopes to pursue a doctoral degree, but says he is mainly focused on helping lives in the present, and being a Husband to his wife, Nicole Hubb and a father to their 2 sons, Langston and Lucas Hubb. To add to his skills, Mr. Hubb is certified in first aid, handle with care, cultural competency, emergency preparedness, suicide prevention, child abuse and trauma informed care.
Outside of his direct professional and pastoral circles, Mr. Hubb is a member of the Holden Key International Honor Society, Psi Chi International Honor Society of Psychology, Alpha Chi National Honor Society, Virginia Pastor's Fellowship and His Church United. A dedicated civil advocate, he is also the distinguished recipient of various community service awards and commendations.
