CROMWELL, CT, October 09, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Suzanne Rutner has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A seasoned educator with more than 50 years of experience, Mrs. Rutner has excelled as president of the Northwest Children's Center since 1983. Since opening its doors, the Northwest Children's Center, which is licensed in Connecticut and accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children, has offered daycare and preschool programs both part time and full time for children ranging from two months old until six years of age. Each program is staffed with degreed teachers who are personally chosen by her on the basis of their formal education, professional expertise and ability to work with children.
Before establishing the Northwest Children's Center, Mrs. Rutner gained valuable experience in education as an elementary school teacher in Middletown, Connecticut. During that time, she presented a number of workshops for parents and teachers in a variety of areas, including career guidance, reading and special education. Even though her career has been filled with highlights, she is especially proud of Northwest Children's Center's inclusion as a pilot school for the National Association for the Education of Young Children's re-accreditation program in 2006 and 2017.
In pursuit of her dream career, Ms. Rutner earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary and early childhood education, as well as a Master of Science in special education, both from Central Connecticut State University. Her love of what she does points to Ms. Rutner not retiring anytime soon. However, when she gets older, she will probably seek out an assistant administrator for the center so that she can continue teaching music at Northwest with all the children daily.
