Drawing on decades of expertise in the military, Dr. Larsen established Strat Op LLC in order to help clients find simple, cost-effective solutions to their most complex business problems. Prior to founding Strat Op, Dr. Larsen dedicated himself to his country through over thirty years of services to the U.S. Army. He served in roles of increasing responsibility, including as a plans branch chief for J-8's Joint Capability Division and as a staff division chief of Acquisition and Sustainment Program Analysis in the Program Analysis and Evaluation Directorate for the Army G-8. Though his career has been suffused with highlights, Dr. Larsen is especially proud of his contributions to protecting Americans through his national defense efforts.
Dr. Larsen has contributed to a plethora of publications including the International Council on Systems Engineering, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Military Operations Research Society. Additionally, he has been published in Army Magazine, Spaceforce Magazine, and System Engineering Magazine.
Dr. Larsen earned a business degree from Indiana University and subsequently received a Doctor of Philosophy in systems engineering at George Mason University.
Well regarded for his outstanding accomplishments, Dr. Larsen has been bestowed with numerous accolades throughout the span of his professional journey. To wit, he was recognized by the Million Dollar Mile Club and has been decorated with numerous military awards including a Joint Service Badge, a Defense Superior Service Medal, and three Legion of Merit badges as well as several leadership awards.
