She can trace her interest in the law back to her childhood. She fondly remembers accompanying her father, a law enforcement officer, to Court and developing a fascination with the judicial process. Ms. Hanlon notably earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Colby College and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Boston College Law School.
In addition to her focus on licensure and malpractice defense, she offers risk management and compliance counsel tailored to a variety of medical providers and facilities. Outside her litigation practice, Ms. Hanlon represents both adoptive and biological parents in domestic adoption cases, an area she approaches with unique sensitivity as an adoptive parent herself.
Ms. Hanlon is a member of the executive committee of Sulloway & Hollis PLLC, and has been active as the chair of firms' Medical Malpractice and Physician Advocacy Group. She is dedicated to expanding and regionalizing the firm in the coming years.
She has contributed her research to chapters on medical discovery to the 2011 and 2018 editions of "A Practice Guide to Discovery and Depositions in New Hampshire." Likewise, Ms. Hanlon was recognized for her excellence with inclusion in Super Lawyers' Rising Stars list for five consecutive years. In addition, she was recently selected by her peers for inclusion in the 2021 edition of Best Lawyers in America in the categories of Litigation-Insurance and Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants.
Ms. Hanlon attributes her success to a desire to master whatever tasks lie before her, and to a commitment to lifelong learning and self-improvement. As a part of her commitment to the growth of the community at large, she serves as an elected official on her town's Municipal Budget Committee tee. Moreover, Ms. Hanlon is an active member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, the New Hampshire Women's Bar Association, the Tri-State Defense Lawyers and the Defense Research Institute.
