Subsequently, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Afterwards, Mr. Shaw attained a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education in English and History from Paul Quinn College. He concluded his scholastic ventures by earning a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Supervision from Prairie View A&M University.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Shaw worked as a writer for AppleOne, an assistant principal, an academic coordinator at Paul Quinn College, and a principal at Clay Academy. Likewise, he served as a college administrator, campus administrator and English teacher for various accredited academic facilities. As a teacher and administrator, he recognized the importance of learning and established lasting relationships with students placed under his tutelage.
Currently, Mr. Shaw excels as the proprietor of RESCORP Properties LLC. In this capacity, he manages the marketing, construction, development and financing of commercial, industrial and multi-family real estate properties for his clients. Furthermore, Mr. Shaw founded Rich Publishing House, an independent publishing company that caters to forthcoming novelists and provides a space for their creative works to gain exposure. An author by trade himself, his publications include "Habits of the Highly Effective Entrepreneur," "PASSIONAIRE" and "Hidden Treasure," among myriad other works. He has also been featured in local and national magazines, including Forbes and Business Week.
Most notably, Mr. Shaw conceived and manufactured the payment terminal equipped to vending machines which manages transactions from debit cards and credit cards. For this accomplishment, he has been inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame after securing 12 patents for his creation from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Moreover, he was distinguished with two Prestigious Industrial Design Excellence Awards for his aforementioned invention from the Industrial Designers Society of America.
