Specializing in toxic torts and environmental law, he has successfully tried major cases on behalf of his clients, such as in Mobil Oil Corp. v. Ellender, Warren v. Sabine Towing and Transportation Co. Inc., and Clark v. Kellogg Brown and Root. In all of these cases the trial verdicts were affirmed on appeal and it was determined that in each of these cases the deaths of these men were related to their exposure to benzene. Mr. Hyde is a retired Certified Safety Professional, having worked as a safety engineer and industrial hygienist.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Hyde pursued an education at Texas A&M University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology in 1979. He concluded his studies at the South Texas College of Law in 1989, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Serving in both state- and federal-level courts, Mr. Hyde was admitted to practice law by the State Bar of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Western, and Southern District of Texas.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Hyde has accrued several accolades throughout his distinguished career. In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Hyde remains affiliated with various organization in relation to his areas of expertise.
