In recent years, Dr. Jennifer Santiago has become more active in shaping the future of patient care standards in hospitals.

Dr. Santiago is an esteemed OB-GYN practitioner with more than 15 years of excellence specializing in birth and prenatal care, women's preventive care and minimally-invasive gynecologic interventions. With an aunt and mother having practiced as gynecologists, she has considered medicine to be a family tradition. She pursued an education at Bryn Mawr College, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. Dr. Santiago concluded her studies at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers, The State University of New Jeresy, from which she earned a Doctor of Medicine in 1999.
From 1999 to 2003, Dr. Santiago completed a medical internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center. She began her career in 2003 as a provider for Perfectly Female Women's Healthcare, departing in 2007 to join OB/GYN Associates of Northern Virginia Ltd. Since 2014, Dr. Santiago has operated in private practice with The GW Medical Faculty Associates, with which she remains dedicated to providing the highest-quality patient care for routine appointments and high-risk conditions.
Throughout her career, Dr. Santiago has been recognized for her excellence in clinical care and resident supervision. She was notably presented with a Teaching Award from the George Washington University. Dr. Santiago was additionally honored as a Top Doctor by Washingtonian Magazine as well as the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society's 2001 Resident Teacher of the Year.
In recent years, Dr. Santiago has become more active in shaping the future of patient care standards in hospitals. She currently serves as a member of The GW Medical Faculty Associates' coronavirus task force. She has also served on Inova Alexandria Hospital's multidisciplinary quality assurance committee since 2018. Dr. Santiago considers her work to be her calling, and looks forward to maintaining her practice for as long as she is able while further developing her administrative leadership skills.
