CORAL GABLES, FL, October 20, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lawrence Kaplan has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Kaplan is the founder and chief executive officer of Lawrence Factor, Inc., a testing and compliance firm ensuring the quality and purity of compressed gas products. Since 1979, he has led the development of the company from a small start-up to a full-service company offering product analysis services, purification systems and filters, and parts and service for compressors and filtration devices. Mr. Kaplan built his career around his love for the Miami area. After a childhood vacation to Key West, he fell in love with the Florida coast, and relocated as soon as he was able, earning an Associate of Arts in emerging sciences from Miami Dade College in 1973.
Lawrence Factor was not Mr. Kaplan's only commercial venture. In 1976, he founded Sterling Compressor Systems, and in 1988, he established Lawrence Glass, running both businesses successfully through the mid-1990s. Widely recognized as an expert in the production of compressed gas products, Mr. Kaplan has been invited to speak and present at industry conferences, and has contributed extensively to professional and scientific journal articles. He has lent his expertise on compressed air to the National Fire Protection Association for more than one decade, serving as a volunteer subject matter expert, and currently excels as an advisor to the Firefighter Air Coalition.
Mr. Kaplan's passion for the Miami Beach area extended to his work as the past president and director of the South Beach chapter of the National Skate Patrol. Passionate about inline and roller skating, Mr. Kaplan founded The Great EsSkate, an international road skating event and celebration in Miami Beach, in 2000, after being awarded a community arts grant. Mr. Kaplan credits his career success to transparency, honesty, tenacity and believing that anything is possible. In his leisure time, he enjoys artistic glass blowing and sculpting in wood and clay.
