Garnering experience with several large law firms throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area, he decided to establish his own practice in order to focus on building relationships with a larger client base. Presently, Mr. Hishon excels as the proprietor of the Hishon Firm LLC.
Prior to attaining his success, Mr. Hishon initially matriculated at the University of Southern Mississippi and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1963. He practiced as a Certified Public Accountant for several years before attending law school and earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Emory University School of Law in 1969.
Beginning in 1969, Mr. Hishon served first as an associate and then as a partner with Alston, Miller & Gaines until 1978. For the next seven years, he continued his career at Bondurant, Miller, Hishon & Stephenson. In addition to the practice of law from 1969 to today between 1974 and 2005, Mr. Hishon served as an adjunct professor teaching taxation in the graduate tax programs at Emory University and the University of Florida. In his present role, he consults with clients in the areas of tax law and general business transaction.
Eminently qualified in his field, Mr. Hishon has been admitted to practice law or admitted to membership, as the case may be, by the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the District of Columbia Bar and the Atlanta Bar Association. the United States Tax Court and a number of appellate courts. Moreover, he maintains his affiliation with the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mr. Hishon is also a member of the Order of the Coif, and the honor societies Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Delta Phi and Phi Eta Sigma.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Mr. Hishon has volunteered as a director and chairman of Georgia Special Olympics.
