LONG ISLAND, NY, October 23, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Vernon Rupert Grant has been awarded a distinguished place of inclusion in Marquis Who's Who in America. As in all Marquis Who's Who in America biographical volumes since 1898/99 (122 years), individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Supported by decades of expertise in crisis management and business, Mr. Grant excels as the Founder and Chief Managing Executive of Crisisology Group International LLC (CGI), a consultancy firm that aims to assist organizations and communities in mitigation planning, preparing for, and recovering from crises. He has published, and currently teaches a wide range of classes for private businesses. He serves as an instructor for the Service Employees International Union/32BJ. His teaching assignments include crisis and prevention management, human relations, management ethics, project and facilities management, and customer service. Before establishing CGI, Mr. Grant worked in the real estate industry for many years, and retired from the field as a Managing Director. He also dedicated himself to the New York City government for over five years; and before that, more than eight years as a medical research analyst at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. While there, he co-authored and published two research papers, and contributed to the publication of more than a dozen others.
Though his lengthy career has been suffused with highlights, Mr. Grant is especially proud to employ successful strategies through his 2009 creation—and thus pioneering—of the emerging discipline of Crisisology. In his article, "Crisisology and Its Theoretical Value" (www.Crisisology.com), he explains the importance of this new field through his Crisis Convergence and Integration Theory (CCIT). His emphasis in crisis and emergency management is mitigation planning. As he says, "It is a lot less expensive (psychologically and financially) to prevent a crisis event from occurring, or at the very least (if unavoidable) reduce the extent of the potential damage it may cause, than to address it during or after such crisis has occurred." In light of his outstanding body of work, he has been acknowledged on numerous occasions, earning a Property Manager of the Year Award, a Leadership in Management Award through The Cooperator, and professional recognition as one of only five managers in New York with prodigious expertise in people management. This validation was published via the article, "They Have The Right Stuff." Through Habitat Magazine (a property management industry publication), Mr. Grant also received Platinum and Bronze Management Achievement Awards for successful leadership in Crisis Management.
Mr. Grant is a New York University and City University of New York trained management executive who holds academic and professional credentials including the coveted Graduate of the Realtor Institute designation. He also studied crisis and emergency management at UNLV, and in addition, holds a number of FEMA certificates. Driven to remain aware of ongoing changes in real estate and management, he aligns himself with the New York Association of Realty Managers, and Executive Fast Track-12Manage. Further, he completed the leadership-training program with the American Management Association. As a satisfying endeavor, Mr. Grant is also involved in music, and is pursuing a course of study for the Professional Certificate in Musicianship at Berklee College of Music. Looking toward the future, he intends for the crisis and emergency management industry to embrace Crisisology as a new discipline. He further promulgates the reason why "Universal Resilience" (his coinage) can become the gold standard for crisis prevention and recovery, not only in the field of real estate, but across all other industries as well. Ultimately, Mr. Grant aims to write a book that focuses on the elevation of Crisisology as an impactful discipline.
