Ms. Lopez has garnered a laudable reputation serving clients through Southern California in the areas of complex civil litigation, estate planning, insurance defense and medical malpractice cases. An alumna of Loyola Marymount University, she attained a Bachelor of Arts in business administration in 2013. During her final undergraduate year, she undertook an internship through the Center for International Trade Development in Long Beach, which included pro bono consultations for business owners seeking to expand their operations. Working alongside the Center's consultants, many of whom were trademark and export lawyers, Ms. Lopez realized that the greatest opportunity she would have to support business owners would be as an attorney. Thereafter, she began her legal coursework at the Chapman University Fowler School of Law.
While studying at Chapman Law, Ms. Lopez began to command attention for her academic excellence and strong performance in the school's moot court competitions, and was the recipient of a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Writing Skills, an honor presented to the highest-scoring student at participating law schools. From 2014 until 2016, she developed a working knowledge of numerous areas of practice as a legal intern with the Claveran Law Firm, the Small Business Administration – National Disaster Resolution Center, Bewley, Lasselben, and Miller, LLP, and Wilson, Keadjian, and Browndorf LLP. Ms. Lopez also pursued international legal studies at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. She completed a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2017.
Ms. Lopez began her carrier in areas of estate planning, probate litigation, complex civil litigation, and personal injury. During her time at FEM Law Group, Ms. Lopez co-drafted an amicus brief submitted to the California Supreme Court on behalf of the CAOC for matter involving Anti-SLAAP issues. Ms. Lopez has since focused her practice in areas of insurance defense, health care law, and medical malpractice defense as an associate at McNeil, Tropp and Braun LLP.
Ms. Lopez continues to build a professional reputation as perceptive and well-rounded counsel, as well as thorough litigation of contentious cases. She is a certified mediator, and has been admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Central and Northern Districts of California. Ms. Lopez attributes her success to a willingness to learn by experimenting and creating unique solutions to complex legal issues. To remain aware of developments affecting her field, Ms. Lopez has maintained her professional affiliation with a number of pertinent organizations. To wit, she is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association. She has been a longtime volunteer assisting in events coordination and fundraising work on behalf of the Luevano Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit providing academic scholarships to Latino students in the Orange County area. Outside of her vocational circles, Ms. Lopez enjoys such diversions as sculpting, art appreciation and ballroom dance, and is a former Latin dance instructor.
