He was responsible for the oversight of maintenance for the Workshop Friendship House Inc. in Hackensack, New Jersey over the course of nearly 20 years. Mr. Filler's expertise in the maintenance field also included a previous position with Boise Cascade Office Products, a manufacturer of wood products and distributor and paper warehouse in Carlstadt, New Jersey. The Corporation was based in Boise, Idaho.
Additionally, Mr. Filler excelled for several years in the field of construction. His interest in property repair and maintenance was recognized with the Bergen County Community Action Program, Inc. in 2000. Mr. Filler's legal career notably began after he had applied as a public defender in Passaic County, New Jersey in 1982. He was recognized by the court system in Bergen County, New Jersey from 1985 onward. He was then referred to the state Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services in 1994. He served as a Board Worker for the Bergen County Voter Division in 2009, for 8 years.
During his incredible career, Mr. Filler had the opportunity to work as an esquire for the National Crime Prevention Council in Washington in 1989 and as attorney on behalf of the Department of Environmental Protection, Trenton, New Jersey 1990. He has also been active as public defender, esq. with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Virginia. A leader in his community, Mr. Filler has volunteered his time with the Vietnam Veterans of America, received nomination from the American Legion, United States, a member of the Humane Society of New York and volunteer with Habitat for Humanity in the construction trade of homebuilding from 2008 through 2012.
Mr. Filler obtained his degree as a graduate in Commerce from Rider University in 1979. He also earned a sales degree in Eventful Selling in West Caldwell High, New Jersey in 1980. He received certification from the Bergen County Technical School 2008 and was awarded a Mechanics Institute Computer certificate in New York in 1995 from the General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen. Mr. Filler supports civil rights as a public defender and constitutional law. He continues to pursue his legal career as esquire Public Defender and is currently a member of Judicial Watch in 2020.
Among his many professional affiliations, Mr. Filler is active with the American Numismatic Association, the American Civil Liberties Union and the Community Associations Institute. He is also member of the Republican National Committee. He was recognized with a Certificate of Merit from the Republican National Committee in 2012. He received the Robert Roe Congressional Award for High School achievement, Garfield, 1975. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Filler has been cited in the 8th edition of Who's Who in American Law and the 24th edition of Who's Who in the East.
