A native of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Taveras drew a wealth of inspiration from the struggles of his father and the strength of his mother. As a child, lacking access to primary education, his father didn't learned to read or write until the age of 11. However, by the age of 21, his father graduated with a degree in economics, summa cum laude, from the University of Santo Domingo and quickly found success as an instructor of business investments. Greatly influenced by the experiences of his father, Mr. Taveras persisted in his educational endeavors. Upon graduating, he decided to focus his professional pursuits on a future in finance.
From 1995 to 2008, Mr. Taveras held increasingly responsible roles, beginning as an insurance agent, a sales trainer manager, district sales manager, sub-regional sales manager, then promoted to director of management development at Combined Insurance in the United States. For the next four years, he contributed internationally to Chubb as the country manager and director of sales for Mexico, 2007 to 2009, and then Chile, from 2009 to 2012. Between 2012 and 2014, Mr. Taveras returned to Combined Insurance and continued accumulating experience as the US National Director of Hispanic Market Development.
By 2018, Mr. Taveras had served as the Divisional Vice President of the Western & Southern Life Insurance Company, as well as the Senior Vice President of individual benefits at USI Affinity. Currently, he excels as the Chief Sales Officer and Executive Vice President of Global Business Development with the Hoopis Performance Network. Within this role, Mr. Taveras specializes in selecting expert concepts within the financial services field, procuring micro video learning modules and developing marketing, contracting and maintenance methods for business optimization for clients located in twenty-nine countries, and growing.
Mr. Taveras is certified in general insurance, accident insurance and health insurance through the Texas Department of Insurance. Moreover, he also attained his series 6, 26 and 63 certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Mr. Taveras is a graduate of the University of Phoenix holding an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In 2018, Mr. Taveras earned a professional designation in organizational leadership from the American College of Financial Services, and also holds a second professional designation in executive leadership from the Wharton School of Business.
