Ms. Puig is an entrepreneur, wellness advocate, cancer survivor and the owner of Happy Juice Bar, LLC. For as long as she can remember, Ms. Puig dreamed of a career in medicine, and her childhood goal was to become a nurse. After graduating from high school, she pursued additional vocational training and entered the administrative side of the medical industry, working in medical records management for nearly 20 years.
Ms. Puig's life and goals changed when she was diagnosed with cancer. Already familiar with Western medicine and conventional treatments, she sought treatment from oncologists and specialist providers, but found herself dissatisfied with their approaches. Scientifically-minded but open to new developments, Ms. Puig began independent research to find complementary treatments, and found the most success with dietary interventions, finding support for the use of naturally-occurring compounds from fruits and vegetables.
In early 2020, Ms. Puig opened Happy Juice Bar, LLC to showcase the juice recipes she created in the course of her research and cancer treatment, and to share her vision of alternative wellness with others. With business already booming, Ms. Puig manages a team of five employees and continues to craft new healthy juice blends. She considers Happy Juice Bar to be a dream come true and looks forward to expanding more locations or franchise opportunities in the coming years. As a part of her advocacy for proactive wellness for all, she supports the mission of the Lymphoma Cancer Society and hopes to start a foundation promoting awareness of and therapies for childhood speech-language disorders in honor of her son born with a speech and learning disorder.
