RED LION, PA, November 20, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present James A. Withrow with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Withrow celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Leading a long and successful career in music education, Mr. Withrow was first employed by the South Eastern School District in Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania, in 1988, shortly after receiving his bachelor's degree. Teaching in the district's Delta-Peach Bottom Elementary School in Delta, Pennsylvania, he continues to inspire students with as much passion and enthusiasm as he held three decades ago. In addition to his responsibilities in the classroom, Mr. Withrow has also been active with numerous school activities, including as an advisor for the school yearbook from 2001 to 2020.
Making a difference in his students' lives has always been Mr. Withrow's motivation for teaching. He enjoys helping his students become more secure, while also moving out of their comfort zones. He especially enjoys teaching those that share the same passion for music, particularly those that aspire to pursue careers in the field later in life. A prolific community advocate, Mr. Withrow, a life member, has proudly supported the Leo Enterprises/Alliance Fire and Rescue Services Inc. Fire Department in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, as a volunteer since 2005. Since 2010, Mr. Withrow has also proudly been a member of the Red Lion American Legion squad #0543. He is a member of The Sons of the American Legion.
Developing an interest in music as a youth, Mr. Withrow's parents supported his wishes and encouraged him wholeheartedly. Following his graduation from high school, he decided to pursue a career in education in order to share his enthusiasm with others. Accepted to the Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Withrow attained a Bachelor of Science in education in 1987. He later took classes at Towson University to earn a Pennsylvania Equivalency for Master's Degree and became a certified level II instructional teacher in Pennsylvania.
To support his professional endeavors, Mr. Withrow has been actively engaged as an associate member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association and the National Association for Music Education. In 2009, he was recognized by the National Parent Teacher Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Withrow has been featured in the 61st through 68th editions of Who's Who in America and the 26th through 30th editions of Who's Who in the World.
