Since 2018, Ms. Zubcevic has served as the director 1 of the intergovernmental policy and review branch of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs Office of Intergovernmental Support and Coordination for Sustainable Development , building upon her work as a senior sustainable development officer and director 1 of the small island developing states, ocean and climate branch for the United Nations. With the United Nations, she has been helping countries implementing sustainability in their development including through Global goals. Prior to joining the United Nations, Ms. Zubcevic served as a minister plenipotentiary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia and an advisor to the Croatian Ministry of Information, as well as the head of the Croatian News Agency's English News Service.
Ms. Zubcevic is the author of several professional studies, reports and guidebooks, including "Gateway Portals to the City: Reshaping Cities and the Urban-Rural Continuum Through Gateway Portals" and "Countries in Special Situations." She is fluent in ten languages, and has contributed extensively to international journals. In recognition of her career commitment to sustainable growth partnerships, she was presented with a 2012 Certificate of Appreciation for Dedicated Service to the United Nations.
