Earning distinction as a third-generation hand tool manufacturer following the example of his grandfather, Clarence, and father, Gerald, he previously worked as the owner of Asia Tech Source between 2001 and 2014. Mr. Cooper previously distinguished himself in the manufacturing industry on behalf of Stanley Tools for 35 years.
In pursuit of his career in manufacturing, Mr. Cooper earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Earlham College in 1966 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hartford in 1971. Driven to remain aware of ongoing changes in the field, he maintains his professional affiliation with the Hardware Marketing Council. Outside of his professional ventures, Mr. Cooper devotes himself to his community as a member of the board of trustees at Earlham College, an elder with the Old Presbyterian Meeting House in Alexandria, and Senior Services of Alexandria, where he previously served as its president.
Though his career has been suffused with highlights, Mr. Cooper is especially proud to have successfully operated his business, and to have established an additional business in the foreign marketplace. Looking toward the future, he intends to sell his business to another North American tool manufacturer so that they may add his products to their own line of merchandise.
