Specializing in the subject of mathematics, he served as an adjunct professor with the College of Staten Island from 1982 to 2004. Dr. Daley initially began his career as a physics teacher at Curtis High School in Staten Island, with which he taught students from 1967 until 1982.
A prolific author, Dr. Daley has written a number of works related to his vocation. Notably, he penned "Math Concepts: An Interdisciplinary Approach." Other books to Dr. Daley's credit include "A Brief Guide to Philosophy," and several works of fiction, including "1950s-1960s Fable," "1960s-1970s Fable," "The Mariners Harbor Messiah," "Blue Collar Folks" and "The Pulaski Prowler."
Dr. Daley's exemplary performance in the field emerged from his academic journey, which began at the City College of New York, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics in 1966. Transferring to the Johns Hopkins University, he subsequently attained a Master of Arts in teaching during the following year. Dr. Daley concluded his formal studies at New York University, from which he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy.
Among his many career highlights, Dr. Daley is most proud to have played such an instrumental role in the lives of many of his students, as well as his local community-at-large. Many of his former pupils have become successful in their own lives, often becoming teachers in their own right. On a more personal note, Dr. Daley is grateful to serve as a devoted volunteer of such charitable programs as Meals on Wheels, and to have raised two wonderful daughters as well as one granddaughter.
