Through Greensea and Laboratories BIOVITIS, Dr. Berthon has applied years of expertise into culturing, bacteria, yeast, fungi and microalgae, which he has transformed into innovative ingredients for several markets including the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, agronomy and nutrition industry. In pursuit of his professional aspirations, he earned a Master of Science from Clermont University in France in 1985. Subsequently, he obtained Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the University of Clermont-Ferrand in 1990 and then passed post-doc in University of Liege in 1990 and 1991. In order to remain aware of changes in an ever-evolving field, Dr. Berthon is affiliated with the French Society of Cosmetics and the Society of Road Safety, for which he was appointed as the president.
An expert in his field, Dr. Berthon was recognized as the Cosmetics Man of the Year in France. Additionally, he received the Innovation Prize from the Council of Innovation for his extensive knowledge in the field of biotechnology. Throughout his career, he was also celebrated as honorary consul of Brazil in Clermont-Ferrand and served as a regional advisor for Banque de France. In the near future, Dr. Berthon aims to continue his current work while expanding GREENTECH in the world (currently 3 subsidiaries : US, Germany and Brasil) and developing amazing, innovative products for a variety of industries.
