From 1974 to 1995, Ms. Skriloff James was a freelance writer and editor, a documentation and publications contractor, and a noted consultant in Los Angeles, CA. Then in 1995, she moved to Louisiana, where she wrote a feature for a local newspaper- The Ledger. In addition, she was publisher for the international newsletter, The Writer's Workshop review. She also was noted for her work for the State of Louisiana Department of Museums, for her involvement in the reconstruction of the Weddell -Williams Aviation Museum. She was involved in the writing of the Script and Executive of Postproduction for the documentary video "The Birthplace of Speed Racing." She was honored by the then Lieutenant Governor of the State, Kathleen Blanco. She subsequently held the role of a managing editor of McCarthy Media of Plainfield, Indiana, from 1996 until 1997, after which she became the present owner of AIS Publications in Indianapolis in 1996 and served on the board of director of NSI. From 1997 to 2000, she was a consultant in Indianapolis. Ms. Skriloff James is a 1995 graduate of the Hollywood Film School.
Ms. Skriloff James has participated in online advocacy and organization for various Democratic organizations and nonprofits, acting as an online coordinator and as a Medicare commissioner from 2001 to 2002. She was a also a Legacy donor for the Chabad of Indiana, The Charles Goodwin Center, Indianapolis, IN, and the Southern Poverty Law Center, AL. Due to her eminent achievements in this regard, Ms. Skriloff James was named to the National Campaign for Tolerance's Wall of Tolerance in 2001 and 2002, and was mentioned in a 1996 Newsweek issue for her work as a biographer for the California serial killer, William G. Bonin (Freeway Killer), and has been mentioned in other newspapers.
She is currently working as a writing coach, and technical writer, editor, and researcher.
