PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL, November 27, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Ignacia B. Mallon with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Mallon celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After teaching in her native Chile for more than a decade, Ms. Mallon relocated to the U.S., where she continued to devote her career to teaching English as a second language and improving education for lower class children and the immigrant community. She also provided her expertise as a consultant of bilingual education for the Massachusetts State Board of Education, where she was instrumental in implementing the very first bilingual program. Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Mallon organized various conferences for the United Nations Children's Fund in Nicaragua and Colombia, directed workshops on techniques for both reading and Spanish through the Boston Public Schools, was a guest speaker of bilingual education courses at conferences at Framingham State College, the University of Massachusetts and other institutions, and founded the Multi Community Center.
