HANOVER, MA, December 01, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kimberly Morris has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Given the legal disparities between immigrants and Americans, Ms. Morris was inspired from a young age to pursue a career in law. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice and Sociology at George Mason University in 2006, she furthered her studies at Boston University, obtaining a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2008. Ms. Morris went on to graduate from Touro Law in 2012 with a Doctor of Jurisprudence and was admitted to practice law by the Maryland and Virginia Bar Associations.
A seasoned professional, Ms. Morris began her legal career as a clerk for the Honorable Judge Barbara Waxman of the Baltimore City District Courts, with which she remained active for a year and a half. Subsequently, she gained valuable expertise with New Day Financial as an Attorney and Director of Licensing. Backed by her professional and educational resumes, she currently excels as Counsel for the Charles Koch Institute, with which she also specializes in grants compliance. Although her career is still on the rise, Ms. Morris' most notable professional achievement thus far has been building out a compliance management system for the Charles Koch community, which was something that had not been done. As a woman of color, this endeavor was especially gratifying.
Driven to contributes to those less fortunate, Ms. Morris has dedicated her time and resources to the Maia Foundation and the local veteran's pro bono clinic with Alston and Bird Law Firm. Additionally, she flourished as an advisor to the board for the village of Brookland. An expert in her field, she was honored as a Top Law Advocate her first year of law school. In the coming years, Ms. Morris intends to thrive as lead counsel for the "Stand Together" community and lobby for policy changes in the diversity equity space.
