CHARLOTTE, NC, December 03, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert Charles Scott has been included in Marquis Who's Who. While initially pursuing a higher education, Rev. Scott believed he could affect positive change on a wide scale by serving his community as an attorney. Consequently, he enrolled at Jackson State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and preliminary law, with honors, in 1991. However, after recognizing his propensity for Christian studies, he decided to realign his academic ambitions and cultivate a career in religious administration. Following this revelation, Rev. Scott obtained a Master of Divinity in preaching and pastoral care from the Duke University Divinity School in 1994. He concluded his edificatory endeavors by graduating from the United Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry in preaching and pastoral care in 1997.
From 1992 until 1999, Rev. Scott served as a pastor for a local house of worship in North Carolina. He subsequently contributed to the Central Baptist Church in Saint Louis as a senior pastor between 1999 and 2016. Presently, he excels under the same title with Saint Paul Baptist Church and facilitates religious programs for a congregation of 5,000 worshippers. In this capacity, Rev. Scott aims to uplift, enlighten, transform and renew the faith of those willing to embrace the Christian faith.
A devoted civic citizen, Rev. Scott regularly collaborates with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention to provide housing developments for seniors and the less fortunate. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, he also routinely traversed the country and attended speaking engagements at conferences, churches, corporate events and schools. Most notably, Rev. Scott organized a march in Saint Louis of more than 20,000 African American men to denounce violence in 2008, an event he considers among his greatest achievements. He is also proud to have shepherded an 18 million dollar housing development of 112 units of affordable housing and senior living through his Community Development Corporation. He penned and published "The Dialectical Method of Preaching as Pastoral Care in the African American Church" in 1998.
As a testament to his success, Rev. Scott has been distinguished as the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity's Citizen of the Year, the Omega Man of the Year for 2008, and the Centennial District Representative of the Eighth District, among other designations. Furthermore, he maintains his membership with the American Home Baptist Mission Society, the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education and the Morehouse College Board of Preachers, to name a few. Rev. Scott plans to continue preaching his religious teachings throughout the United States in the near future.
