Inspired by his religious ancestors, Dr. Xiong was inspired to pursue a career in ministry. Upon relocating to the United States, he and his wife attended a church and assisted the pastor at a funeral. During the ceremony, he heard a hymn that changed his life and set him on his current path. In the mid-1980s, Dr. Xiong founded the Hmong Baptist National Association (HBNA), with which he remains active as a pastor, executive director and founder.
Through HBNA, Dr. Xiong operates various ministries for men, women and children, as well as an overseas ministry and the Love & Care Ministry. Dedicating to spreading the word of God and contributing to his community, he also participates in television and radio ministry through the Hmong Baptist National Association. In a career that has been filled with highlights, Dr. Xiong is incredibly proud of helping children in his community pursue and afford an education that they would not be able to receive without his aid.
In pursuit of further education, Dr. Xiong earned a Doctor of Ministry from the Southern Baptist for Biblical Studies in 2000. Over the years, he has been recognized many times for his steadfast dedication to his community, obtaining a plethora of Appreciation Awards for his exceptional religious services. Looking toward the future, Dr. Xiong intends to continue serving the Lord through his work with the Hmong Baptist National Association.
