For more than 25 years, Dr. Frady has empowered her students to create and succeed through innovative music instruction. She initially earned a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from West Georgia College before beginning her career teaching at the elementary level in the 1990s. In 2005, Dr. Frady graduated with a Master of Early Childhood Education at Brenau University, and continued her education at Piedmont College, from which she obtained an Educational Specialist certificate in curriculum and instruction in 2007 and a Doctor of Education in teaching and learning in 2011.
Dr. Frady continues to teach at the K-5 level as a music teacher for the Cherokee County Board of Education in Canton, Georgia. Since 2003, she has served as an InTech ReDelivery instructor for technology teacher trainer certification, collaborating teacher for numerous student teachers as well as mentored first year teachers. Likewise, she has been presented with numerous school and district-level awards for her outstanding service to students throughout her career. In addition to being recognized as the Teacher of the Year in 1995 and 2004 (Canton Elementary) and 2010 (Hasty Elementary), Dr. Frady is the recipient of a Cherokee County Tech Blazer Award for her creative utilization of instructional technology in the classroom, a Golden Apple Award, a Wall of Tolerance Award, and the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
In order to remain on the cutting edge of best practices in instruction, Dr. Frady is an active member of the Georgia Association of Educators, the National Association for Music Educators, the Atlanta American Orff Schulwerk Association and the Quaver Education Advisory Council and Teacher Ambassador Team. A former adjunct faculty member at Piedmont College, she is licensed to teach music at the P-12 level and early childhood education for grades P-5 in the state of Georgia. She has additionally served as the president and vice president of the Cherokee High School Basketball Boosters, as well as secretary of the Cherokee High School Soccer Boosters and remains passionate about promoting the growth and strength of her school community. In her leisure time, Dr. Frady enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, reading, walking, and kayaking. Her greatest passion is her love for her family and God without whom none of this would have been possible.
