A seasoned, results-oriented attorney with a proven track record of success in litigating multimillion dollar contract disputes, personal injury claims and white collar investigations, Mr. Leonard currently excels with the firm of Cozen O'Connor. In addition to his focus on business litigation, he has experience with employment discrimination cases, shareholder derivative suits, class action lawsuits, construction cases, insurance coverage and defense matters, Freedom of Information Act challenges and other critical legal matters. In May 2017, he was part of a team that secured a $4 million decision in an arbitration hearing for the firm's client. Over the years, Mr. Leonard has had the honor of liaising with attorneys in cities all around the country, including New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago and Los Angeles.
Prior to his present position with Cozen O'Connor, Mr. Leonard served as an associate attorney and summer associate. Additionally, he gained valuable experience in the field as a summer intern for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania for the Honorable Berle Schiller, an intern for the United States Senate and a page for the United States House of Representatives. Though his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Leonard's most notable achievement thus far has been obtaining membership at Cozen O'Connor only six-and-a-half years after graduating from law school.
Mr. Leonard earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Boston University. During his final year as an undergraduate, he was elected as the co-president of the school's Mock Trial Organization. Mr. Leonard subsequently obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Villanova University School of Law, where he also contributed to the Villanova Law Review, in 2013.
Soon thereafter, Mr. Leonard was admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Outside of his primary responsibilities, he remains dedicated to the community through a school for underprivileged children.
