Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Hudspeth pursued a formal education at Wichita State University, from which he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, sociology, philosophy and economics in 1970 and a Master of Philosophy in 1972. Following this accomplishment, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence at Arizona State University in 1986, whereupon he was admitted to practice law in the state of Arizona, as well as before the U.S. District Courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Before pursuing law, he owned several bars, restaurants, bath shops and several real estate properties. He subsequently became a professor of business law at Arizona State University's Barrett Honors College. Presently, Mr. Hudspeth serves as the chief executive officer, president and principal attorney of the Hudspeth Law Firm.
As a respected voice in his field, Mr. Hudspeth teaches business courses, and has served as a guest lecturer and speaker at Phoenix College, the Arizona State Edson Entrepreneurial Institute and the Phoenix School of Law Workshop. Previously, he hosted several radio talk shows, including "Law on The Edge" and "LawTalk." Mr. Hudspeth has also written countless texts, books and articles in the field, including numerous online books, "Minding Your Own Business, Ropes to Skip & Ropes to Know in the Operation of Your Small Business," and "Inside the Firm: The Inside Story on Choosing and Using a Lawyer."
Well regarded for his indelible contributions to the field, Mr. Hudspeth has maintained a Preeminent Lawyers AV Rating through Martindale-Hubbell. He was also selected as one of the Top Business Leaders, Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona, and was chosen to be featured in the upcoming issue of AZ Business Leaders Publication in the Business and Commercial Litigation category. Mr. Hudspeth was previously named as the Volunteer Lawyer of the Month by the Maricopa County Bar Association and received the Maricopa County Volunteer Lawyers Certificate of Commendation.
Mr. Hudspeth maintains his professional affiliation with the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Arizona and the Maricopa County and Bar Associations. In accounting for his standout success, he credits his dedication to hard work, as well as the inspiration of his friends and colleagues.
