An abstract artist based in Kleinburg, Ms. Mravyan began fostering her love of the arts at the age of 14. Rather than following in the footsteps of her parents, both of whom were writers, she became involved in applied arts, finding work in the textiles industry shortly after pursuing coursework through the Industrial Arts College in Russia. Ms. Mravyan subsequently obtained a Master of Arts from A.N. Kosygin Moscow State Textile University in the early 1980s.
Following the completion of her studies, Ms. Mravyan established herself as a freelance artist, painting picturesque sceneries for a range of galleries and publishing companies in a number of cities around the world, including Toronto, New York, Tokyo, Frankfurt and Moscow. Throughout her artistic career, she has worked with several different forms of media, including watercolor, acrylic and oil paint. Ms. Mravyan remains aware of changes in the arts through her affiliation with the International Art Society.
Outside of her primary responsibilities as a freelance artist, Ms. Mravyan contributes to those in need as a donor to the Children's Aid Foundation of Canada. In a career filled with highlights, she fondly recalls exhibiting her work on Broadway as well as in a number of museums. On a personal note, she is also proud to be the devoted mother of two wonderful children. Looking toward the future, Ms. Mravyan intends to continue to paint what inspires her while gaining more exposure for her artwork.
