After falling in love with the field of political science, Ms. Wagner pursued a career in law and has excelled today as an attorney with Wagner PLLC in Washington, D.C., since 2020, where she focuses her practice in various aspects of criminal law, civil litigation, and landlord and tenant work. With considerable expertise in the government and private sectors, she works with her clients every step of the way. Notably, she speaks English, French and Spanish, and has garnered experience with both prosecutors and the defense, which has transformed her into a well-rounded attorney. Alongside her work in private practice, she served as Assistant Attorney General for the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia from 2019 to 2020.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Wagner gained valuable expertise in the field with internships with the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia in 2016 and 2018, the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office in 2015, as well as through a judicial law clerkship with the Superior Court of the District of Columbia in 2017. In pursuit of a legal career, Ms. Wagner earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Communications/Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University in 2015. She retains professional alignment with the Florida Bar Association, The District of Columbia Bar and Lambda Pi Eta, where she served as president.
Outside of her work, Ms. Wagner has devoted herself to the District Alliance for Safe Housing as a former volunteer, and for Women's Law Society as president between 2016 and 2018. Furthermore, she was a student attorney for various legal clinics including the criminal law clinic where she represented those charged with misdemeanors at the DC Superior Court.
