Kathleen Forrest is the Branch Owner and Broker for Metro Brokers of Oklahoma. She specializes in residential property sales and is the #1 Individual Buyer's Agent in Oklahoma (six straight years). From her modest beginnings in a rural Kansas farm community, she has demonstrated motivation and determination to succeed in every facet of her life.
At the age of 20, Ms. Forrest graduated from Newman University with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education, graduating with Cum Laude honors. She went on to earn both a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis on Learning Disabilities from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. While working as a teacher and an activist for special needs children, she got her first taste of real estate. Through her attempts to get the state to recognize many of these people were good candidates for home ownership (rather than just renting) she was told she would need to get a license to fight this battle. Kathleen did not hesitate in her pursuit and succeeded in researching and specializing in grants that gave the potential of home ownership to this group of people.
Her pursuit to help did not stop there. Her next challenge involved single mothers and helping them pursue the dream of home ownership for them and their children. At this point, the word was spreading about the woman that was on a mission to help. Kathleen was featured on the news and in the papers and within a few months, hundreds of women lined up to work with Kathleen, looking for what options existed for them to purchase a home and receive coaching to better their lives.
In addition to her work in real estate, Ms. Forrest also authored a real estate book ("Real Estate GameChangers") and a motivational book ("The Golden Rules of Success") for which she was recognized as a Best-Selling Author by Celebrity Press. She was also selected to Co-Produce Jay Abraham's video biography Getting Everything You Can Out of All You've Got—The Jay Abraham Story.
Civically, she uses her platform in her community to advocate for domestic abuse and sex trafficking awareness. She also sponsored a school and a home for underprivileged children in the Philippines.
Over the years, Ms. Forrest has attributed her professional success to her determination. She maintains professional affiliation with the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission, the Edmond Board of Realtors, Military Relocation Specialists, and Fine Homes and Estates. In the coming years, Ms. Forrest plans to transition into consulting and life coaching. This will allow her to return to her roots in teaching and life coaching with the goal of working with people in all walks of life, focusing on their "why" in order to guide them to a stronger, financially sound, and more rewarding future.
